Koyambedu always hogs the limelight for its CMBT Bus Stop and Market, but many have not realized there is a huge population whose livelihood depends on the same. Hailing from different parts of Tamil Nadu and struggling to make ends meet, education is yet another distant dream for these families. Some of us have been working with these kids for quite some time .Looking at what they are capable of is nothing short of brilliance. Their roots hails from troubled families and most of them have not seen the world past their street. It is not fair to blame fate for their misfortunes.

We are pursuing our fellowship in Teach for India at Corporation High Secondary School Koyembedu and we are not ready to leave things to fate. We are here to fight it out at our terms. We believe “It’s not the cards you’re dealt, its how you play the game” that matters. A class room and a teaching space nothing short of brilliance is what we envision for these kids. “Batting for Brilliance” is an effort aimed to ensure children don’t limit themselves and leave their destiny to their fate. It would be great if you all out there give us your helping hand in it; help us in making our Vision a reality.

The following are the things I have planned for this and subsequent academic year, for which we need the monetary support.
