India, like the rest of the world, is in the midst of the one of the scariest humanitarian crisis in a century. While we already saw a rapid surge of cases in the second wave, a disastrous tragedy of the impending third wave is already slowly unfolding in India, especially in the lives of the vulnerable communities who are battling the deadly virus as well as daily survival. We need to come together against COVID to ensure that the most vulnerable are not deprived of the most basic necessities of medical assistance, food, sanitation supplies, and access to dignified and safe work, while we fight the pandemic together now and going forward.
In these trying times, our NGO, Hamari Pahchan expresses solidarity with the people to fight COVID -19 as well as aims to reach out and support these people to the best of our ability. Since the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the country, all in terms of scale, speed of spread and impact, as a measure of response, has stepped in to provide relief by providing food and medical kit to the most vulnerable and disadvantaged children, families and communities. Adhering to all precautions, Hamari Pahchan has begun its relief service by providing free meal or packed grocery kits with the Covid essential kit to the low-income segment of the society While ensuring the availability of all these essentials to all is not at all easy, at least if each one of us pledges to help the other one to be safe, the whole nation can stand strong against the virus.

Life without a purpose is meaningless and the biggest purpose of humankind is to make it sustain and define it literally in all senses.                                                       I am Ayushi Kharayat, a proud volunteer at Hamari Pahchan and steering forth this humanitarian purpose of changing lives for better adds meaning to my existence and fills me with immense joy that comes from sharing my blessings with those who unfortunately lack them.
