About Awaaz Voice of Stray Animals:
Awaaz is  two years old organization working for the welfare of stray animals in Mumbai. The organization runs two ambulances along with an immediate stand by vehicle for helping animals. We do on spot treatment and also hospitalization of the animal whenever needed. We also undertake rescues which need immediate rescues, which need surgery or prolong treatment. 

                               

About the Founder:
The organization is founded by Mr. Amit Pathak, who brings to the table an experience of 17 years in rescuing injured, wounded and trapped animals. A media professional by profession is a well known name in animal fraternity and has received extensive media coverage on his work. His recent project  include rescue and help for Kerala Animals affected during floods. He along with his core team, along with two prominent organizations were part of the mission funded by Virat Kohli Foundation.

Core Team

We have a team of six animal lovers and extremely professional animal handlers working on ground daily. Apart from these we have a person who handles our helpline and a rescue coordinator who coordinates with the ground staff once the helpline intimidates him. Our one Ambulance does the medical treatment and assistance which has a para vet on board-while other two ambulances are involved in transportation and hospitalization.

Driver cum catcher - 18000
Para vet:                   -  21000

Rescue Coordinator- 15000

Helpline Coordinator : 10000

Total Running Cost per Month: 94 000/-

Apart for this we do spend on medicines and private vet, which is not included in the expense

Ambulance 3: Is driven by a part-time driver and paid on call basis.
