The Athma special school was established on 2009 for the welfare of special children with disabilities. The aim is to enhance and utilize the positive skills of the child with the help of supportive therapies as far as possible removes weakness. Teaching and training of each child is undertaken on individual basis according to individual training programs (IEP) formulated on the guidelines of national institutes.
Many families do not expose their children and hardly explore rehabilitation opportunities to develop their abilities to live an independent life with dignity and many parents worry about the future of their special children WHO AFTER ME?
To dispel darkness from the lives of special children ATHMA Education and Research Foundation (ARF) started this project on January 26, 2015 with the budget of 8 crores.
A disabled friendly infrastructure has planned to provide Special Education with residential facility so that children from rural and semi urban area can be accommodate and trained. We also aimed to start Diploma & Degree course for special education so that in future well trained professionals will be available to serve these children.
