The kid on the right is P Abhishek. His mother irons clothes in an apartment in Hyderabad. Last year, his father suffered a medical condition rendering him unable to make ends meet. Abhishek is in 10th grade and enrolled at KK Reddy School in Telekapally, Mahbubnagar, Telangana. He stays in the school hostel itself. His mother approached me and few other apartment residents for financial assistance. Since they admitted him to a private school, the fees, including the hostel charges, amount to forty-five thousand rupees (The BPL seat reservation in private school as per the RTE act is only applicable for new admissions in lower primary grades). A part of this amount has already been raised by a few residents( Fifteen thousand). I have verified all the details provided by her and decided to provide financial assistance as well as counselling to the kid. I would be grateful if you could contribute to the cause.
