Greetings from Purbachal Ananda Foundation!

We, Purbachal Ananda Foundation (PAF), is a registered not for profit organization under the society registration act of West Bengal, formed in the year 2005 with 4 orphan children with a view to work towards a new dimension to do something for the society. Our Journey started in a mud house with thatched roof at a remote village Purokonda, 14 KM away from city Durgapur (West Bengal, India), by myself with the help of few likeminded people to ensure the rights of the children.
PAF was founded from the inspiration of Swami Vivekananda’s great massage “Jibe Prem Kare Jei Jon, sei Jon sebichey ISWAR” [Those who serve mankind (and any other living being) are serving God].
PAF has scaled new heights by regular activities to fulfill the mission of our organization. PAF is an organization that believes in human values. Every child is considered to play an important role in future for the betterment of our country. Uplifting of these children with social and moral values is imperative as a responsible citizen.
Presently PAF has been awarded to run two Shelter Home; one is named “Ghore Phera” is a  Shelter for Urban Homeless (SUH), a project under National Livelihood Mission (NULM) in association with Howrah Municipal Corporation. Ghore Phera Located at 9,Koipukur Lane, Howrah-711102, West Bengal India and another is, Abhayashram is also a Shelter for Urban Homeless (SUH), a project under National Livelihood Mission (NULM) in association with Durgapur Municipal Corporation. Abhayashram is located at VAMBAY Colony, Bidhannagar, Durgapur-713212, Paschim Barddhaman, West Bengal, India.
The both shelter homes has a combined capacity to shelter around 100 inmates( 50 each)  who are homeless and destitute and stays in open air throughout the year. The Shelter cater to the most vulnerable groups within the homeless populations such as (a) single women / men and their dependent minor children, (b) aged, (c) infirm & disabled, (d) partially mentally challenged etc. The Project infrastructure is supported by Government and day to day running expenses are to be arranged by the NGO like us, which as Govt procedure.
              

In this endeavour, we put forward our humble request to all benevolent persons to kindle a ray of hope among these people by participating in this mission through your kind donation in any form like kind or cash. The main requirements envisaged  (a) Food & ration  (b) Medicine, first aid & medical testing (c) Daily use items like soap, shampoo, toothpaste (d) daily use clothes (e) Educational materials for children etc for 100 inmates.
PAF is a not for profit organization, solely dependent on donation/ sponsorship/ assistance from individuals, other Social Organizations/ Corporate Houses etc. for running the Unit.
Your donation/support will heave a blessing to these less fortunate/ less privileged people of the society. Hope you will join with us and support in laying a strong foundation for a better tomorrow and Purbachal Ananda Foundation is working tirelessly the shape these unto reality.
