Come join us in the mission to help the underserved communities of Bangalore

The battle against COVID-19 has taken new shapes and forms, but the underlying problem that we tried to solve last year persists.
The second wave is continuing to affect us all. In these dire times, one of the most affected communities is that of migrant laborers, having lost their jobs due to the lockdown. Affording three meals a day for their children and families is a challenge. COVID positives in such communities are finding it difficult to arrange for the basic medical supplies to avoid worsening their situation. It’s time for us to come together in solidarity and contribute as individuals.
Communities have reached out to us seeking help with essentials that will enable them to survive the second wave. In response, we are re-launching our mission of providing them with essentials and we need your help in getting there.

Our Initiative
As an organization that works for and with the community, we are providing food essentials (dry rations) and health kits to the families affected by the lockdown. We are also locating COVID-positive patients for the early supply of medicines and oximeters so that they can mitigate the virus in their homes at the beginning itself to avoid hospitalization. We also ensure social distancing, proper hygiene, and create awareness about the same during our visits to various communities for distribution.

What are we doing?
Supporting one community at a time.
We have been associated with various communities by the virtue of our work. In assessing the need in these communities and the requests we have received, we aim to provide a utility kit that includes food essentials and basic health supplies to their families. Catering to one community at a time, we wish to reach out to all the communities we have worked with earlier.
Each Utility Kit includes an essential box, health kit, and a play item.Essential Box: Rice, Dal, Atta, and Cooking oil
Health Kit: Masks, soaps, and sanitary pads
Play Item: ‘A balancing cat’ for developing motor skills in children
(*essentials include quantities sufficient for a family of 4 for 2 weeks)

Testing kit: Thermometer and Oximeter
Medicines: Azithromycin, Paracetamol, Multivitamins, Betadine Germicide Gargle, Cough Syrup
Sanitation: Handwash, Sanitizer, Cloth &  Surgical Masks
(*medicines include quantities sufficient for an individual for a 14 day quarantine period)

How can you help?

100% of every valuable contribution made will go into providing :

1. 500 families of the community, each with a utility kit containing a combination of food grains, wheat flour, and other essentials to help them sustain for 2 weeks along with a health kit.

2. 200 individuals who have tested positive each with a medical kit containing a combination of testing kit, medicines, and basic health supplies to help them sustain through their quarantine. 

Our NGO partners and local community volunteers will ensure the responsible distribution of these boxes while ensuring the utmost safety and social distancing.
