Animals serve the society in many ways so in return ANIMAL HELPLINE SILIGURI plans to build up an ANIMAL HELPLINE SHELTER AND HOSPITAL for these innocent beings in Siliguri.

*We plan to build up a shelter house and a hospital which will have all the basic treatment arrangement for any animals in siliguri.

*It will be the first multipurpose shelter home and hospital in Siliguri where the diagnosis will also be done for the animals .

*This facility would be the first of its kind in the region and would have patient beds for animals, a feature not all clinics and hospitals have for stray, destitute and injured animals.

*We want to make it a point that no animal suffers from any disease or injury and not get the basic treatment also.

ABOUT ANIMAL HELPLINE SHELTER AND HOSPITAL : Registered Private Trust for the welbeing of animals in siliguri.

The story of this ANIMAL HELPLINE SHELTER AND HOSPITAL started : This story started 15 years ago when the Chairman of Animal Helpline Siliguri found a little pup lying on the street .

Immediately she became conscious about the puppy and picked her up wrapped her in her jacket and took her home . She took her to the doctor for basic first aid only to find out that the dog was suffering from jaundice ,anaemia and critically low temperatures.

She had nowhere to go with the puppy so she took her home and took care of pup. It was winters and Siliguri had freezing winters that year. She made sure that she did every possible thing which she could to recover the puppy from the present state . The doctor told her that the pup needs to be kept in a specific high temperature to get its normal temperature back and this was only possible in the hospital.

Siliguri doesnot have any hospital where animals can stay and could be looked after. Even after proper medicine , care and treatment she couldn't revive back the little pup and eventually the pup died due to improper condition and critically fallen body temperatures. Priya was taken aback by this incidence and that's when she decided to start her Animal Helpline in Siliguri with her team where she helped the street dogs which are injured or suffering from any disease. Many recovered to get adopted and find home ,and also many died .

Now,to take things little further she wants build the first ANIMAL HELPLINE SHELTER AND HOSPITAL in Siliguri where animals will be treated and can stay in the hospital where they will be taken care off till they acquire proper health.
