    This fundraiser will benefit

    Divyansh Anand Rathi

    from Basmat, Maharashtra

On 9th April 2015, Divyansh Anand Rathi met with a major accident and suffered a brain injury. Post his first operation on 09th April, he has undergone multiple brain operations in the last 20 months. The family has incurred expenses to the range of 40 to 50 lakh rupees and can no longer arrange for any funds for his operations. Most of the fund requirements were met with the help of finances from family and friends. It has come to a level when the family is forced to stay outside the hospital in order to avoid the daily expenses of hospital stay that range between 3,000 - 5,000 rupees which have now become unaffordable. The expenses pertaining to post operation stay at the hospitals have forced the family to shift Divyansh to and from hospitals. Hence the short stays (early discharges from hospitals against doctor’s advice) could be seen in the documents.
So far Divyansh has undergone about 12 operations and is expected to have another 4-5 surgeries to bring him to a stage where he can begin living a normal life again. The current situation is that the left part of his body is paralyzed. His left hand does not move at all. The left leg has shown about 40% improvement since the first operation.
The estimated expense of the least number of surgeries that Divyansh is still expected to undergo would be around 11 lakh rupees.
Considering the difficulty in getting funds for any further operations, any help/contribution in this regards could really turn out to be a life saver for Divyansh. We are striving to get funds from any social organizations that may help us. Every contribution counts.
