Story

Al Majeed School, in Saroorupur village, in rural Uttar Pradesh, India gives conventional and Islamic education to 575 underpriveleged girls and boys, almost free of cost. The school, despite being around 100 kms from national capital Delhi, is a village in district Hapur, UP with majority Muslim population, dependant majorly on agriculture, a markedly disressed sector in India.
Girl students study till class 10th and boys till class 6th. Emphasis to give conventional education and quran teachings, making underprevileged Muslim girls a medium to be independant and better equipped to improve their lives, while providing a safe environment for learning and growth. The school also has a mosque and madrasa with 40 young hafiz students with boarding and lodging facilties, and is hence eligible for Zakat.
The school is run by Madrasa Jamia Islamia Ash Sheikh Abrarul Haq. It's managed by a family of Saroorpur and funded by a Delhi High court lawyer Mohd Abid. Started in 2009 with 50 kids studying in a hut, the school has a proper building in a 1 acre plot of land, and is working on further construction and administration, for better functioning and improved quality education.
The School needs Rs. 1,20,000 monthly to support salaries for it's 14 teachers and the upkeep of premises.
We need to build a computer room at an expense of Rs. 2,50,000 with computers and workstations. The funds raised will go for the regular day to day functioning and for building the computer laboratory for the kids.

Donation is Zakat eligible and will help in building school and mosque and will be Sadaqa Jariya, Insha'Allah for all donors. It will make a real impact to these young poor Muslim boys and girls.
