Help Dhruvankur for bone marrow transfer treatment

My name is Sanket Alkunte, I’m a vegetable wholesaler. I make Rs. 10,000 every month. To be able to pay for the initial tests and to start the chemotherapy session, I had to sell my car and my mother’s ornaments to get immediate help. I managed to gather Rs. 4.5 lakh on doing so. I live in Solapur with my family consisting of my wife and three children. I’m the sole breadwinner of the family. It’s becoming very difficult to manage the exorbitant hospital bills along with the school fees of my daughters and the daily expenses to run our house. The doctors won’t be able to help me if I don’t gather the amount mentioned on Dhruv’s medical bills. I just don’t know what to do to save my son’s life.
Sanket is struggling to pay for his son’s life-saving treatment. With your help in the form of donations, you can help him save his son’s life.
Right from the very beginning, we had to make constant rounds to the doctor’s clinic for Dhruv’s health. Since his birth, he has suffered from lung infection, intestine infection and blood infection. We often joke about how he has caught every infection in the world in just 3 years. In May, he started becoming extremely frail and weak because of indigestion, everything he ate got out of his system because of loose motions. For about 20 days, he was on medication from our local doctor. When it didn’t make any difference to his condition, we took him to Nasik for 10 days. It was very frustrating when his condition kept deteriorating even after getting treatment from the doctors at Nasik. After almost a month of not knowing what was wrong with my son, I got him to Mumbai. A few tests later, the diagnosis left us devastated. My son had a condition called Chronic Granulomatous Disease. This condition requires frequent injections and the only treatment option is Stem Cell Transplantation.
The diagnosis has changed my Dhruv completely. From playful and mischievous, he has become angry and cranky now. Every time a doctor comes close to him, he tries to run away. Once when he was trying to get away, he ended up hurting himself with a pair of scissors. It’s becoming difficult to control him. I can’t even take him for a walk in the park to let him enjoy a breath of fresh air, he’s highly prone to infections. The doctors have strictly asked us to keep him indoors. He loves red cars so we’ve found all red cars from his toy collection and put them in a bag near his bed.
The doctors explained that the condition Dhruv has is extremely rare. To answer the questions Dhruv asks, his mother often calls him “Shin Chan”, his favourite cartoon character. She says, “Because you’re unique, just like Shin Chan, you have a unique condition like this.” Just being called Shin Chan makes him forget he’s in the hospital for a brief window of time and that makes us happy. Please help us save our son’s life, we don’t want to lose him.
