Our endeavors to End Incest are motivated solely by the plight of the victims that came to the fore during the course of our 2.5-years old research 'Incidence, Impact, Awareness & Reporting of Incest' in major Indian cities. Because statistics represent real people. Incest victims suffer, and they suffer enormously, often alone and in silence.
Driven by research and positive action, without any funds we conducted 20 Advocacy, Awareness & Counselling sessions touching 2,255 participants from age group of 10-75 years sensitised across 5 Indian States & U.T.s in less than an year. With dwindling savings and unwillingness of stakeholders to pay for the basic costs to raise mass awareness in our target groups, we have no option but to rely on community action to sustain our campaign. With funds, we have the capacity to sensitise 2,000 people a month across different states and U.T.s.
Why is it important to talk about incest abuse?
Because incest abuse spares none; it is prevalent across all socio-economic and academic-professional backgrounds. As a parent, a sibling, a cousin, a grandparent or an uncle/aunt might be an abuser, and the family fails to support the victim, where would the child go?
If 1,000 people donated only Rs.1,000/- each, it would help us create an informed childhood and an empowered society, free of incest abuse.
Ms Stuti Kacker, Chairperson of National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) understands the importance of our work. Very gracefully she kickstarted our fund raising by making a personal contribution to the project. - Emotionally vulnerable in the family
Some of the findings which are emerging out of our research examining incest, sexual abuse within families, thus far include:
a. 40% of the respondents have been a witness of incest
b. 1-in-5 has been a victim of incest
c. Most vulnerable age for victims is 7-18yrs
d. Most Perpetrators fall in the age bracket of 12-30yrs
e. 92% never shared/disclosed their trauma to anyone
f. 12% teachers have witnessed incest abuse in students in schools

What is our Focus?
Our Target Audience includes: Schools, Colleges, Universities, Vocational Training Centres, Teaching Fraternity, Parents & Family Groups, Social Groups, Medical Fraternity, Corporates, Police, Judiciary & Social Workers.

How Healing Support is working?
On average 3-4 people per month reach out to us for help. Our professionals currently provide online support through chat and email to anyone who reaches out to us for support. We also meet victims and survivors over what we call 'catharsis coffee' to provide a safe and confidential platform to share the forbidden trauma. We take calls on our helpline for limited number of hours a day due to paucity of funds.

How do we deliver across different cities?
End Incest has developed a simple concept of creating professional mini-hubs in tier-2 and metropolitan cities of India to provide medico-legal guidance and mental-health support to those affected by incest abuse at local grass root level. These mini-hubs are already functioning very well in Chandigarh and Ludhiana. Similar platforms are being created in Ambala, Gurgaon, Noida, Shimla, Dehradun, Delhi too.

What financial aid have we received so far?
None! Despite people acknowledging the high prevalence and the grave impact on the victims and their families, we are not getting any financial support. Unfortunately, we have also run out of our savings to run our awareness campaign. Without any support we have strengthened 2,255 Indians in 10 months, We have developed the capacity to strengthen and support 2,000 a month.
What financial aid have we received so far?
