Youngistaan Foundation responded to the first wave of COVID-19 by assisting tens of thousands of families and we are continuing to provide groceries free-of-charge to families who do not have access or money to purchase basic staple foods. We have been receiving calls from people with no income, people with disabilities, people in the transgender community and people from single-parent households requesting help with the most basic of all needs: food.

GROCERIES
The cost of providing groceries to one family is Rs. 1,160 and the groceries we are purchasing and distributing free-of-charge will contain the following items for each family:

• Rice (5kg)
• Pulses (1kg)
• Wheat flour (1kg)
• Salt (1kg)
• Oil (1L)
• Chili powder (200g)
• Turmeric powder (500g)
• Milk powder (1 packet)
• Detergent bar (2 bars)
• Body soap bar (2 bars)
• Chyawanprash immune booster (575g)
• Vitamin C chewable tablets (2 strips of 15 each)
