The very concern of this fund raising is to provide medical treatment to baby Asra, a three years old refugee from Afghanistan living in New Delhi.
She is suffering through Recurrent Respiratory Papillomatosis since last two years and underwent 20 debridement surgeries including 7 surgeries in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. She needs repeated surgery every 4-6 weeks. The dreaded disease is extending and the cost of medication is high which is unbearable for the refugee family.
HomeCountry obtained treatment plan and cost from Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi. And according to this, baby Asra requires a MLS (Micro Laryngeal Surgery) and Chemotherapy; and the approximate cost for this treatment at the higher side will be $20,000 (approx. ₹15,00,000 after including taxes).
