Aloha, everyday warriors!

The Story:

On November 22nd this year, 500 children from an underprivileged community of old Pune are coming together to tell us their story through a musical production - Rani. We at Epiphany are running this campaign to seek your support for enriching the holistic development of our students.

Every year Epiphany puts in tremendous amount of hard work to make our grand Annual gathering a success and celebrate itas a bench mark of development. For the past few months, the students, teachers and staff at Epiphany have been working relentlessly towards an extra ordinary show for everyone towitness.

This year’s production: Rani is the journey of a warrior whostands up to the prejudice of being a girl during India’s Independence movement. The spirit of a young, fearless girlbreaks through all barriers of patriarchal mentality shewitnessed growing up, to serve her nation and bring honour to her family. Inspired by the beloved Disney movie Mulan, theproduction forces its audience to question the relevance of social constructs around them and push each and every girl to achieve great heights.

With a marvel of dance, music, choreography and lights, theAnnual Day encourages the latent talent of every child by providing a stage for expression and an audience for their unheard voices. And among many others who will find their calling in this journey is Rani, on a quest for her true identity as a warrior over a maiden.

Who are we?

We at Epiphany we believe in holistic development of every child. This goes beyond our strong academic results to cater the emotional and physical growth of the students. We use sports as an important instrument of educating life values and leadership evidenced by our aim to excel in each field we step into. Kudos to our coaches, we have shown tremendous growth in frisbee and football. Our under age 12 boys football team is one of the strongest in the city with the girls and senior team showing promising behaviour. The frisbee team is a mix-gender team that holds the values of gender equity and spirit really close at the core.
The teachers sail through a storm of challenges to make thisdevelopment happen for the students, challenges like: balancing academics with co-curricular, making the right props for the play, obtaining sports kits for the teams, training kids deliver nothing less than their best, and managing the venue and funds for the kids an experience of lifetime

Epiphany School is a low-income private school situated in Guruwar Peth, Pune. This school caters to more than 600 students from the nearby slum areas. The school teachers are dedicated and determined to provide excellent education to the students, they do not want poverty to dictate the destiny of these kids.

Your part in our play:

One of my favourite quotes while growing up was by A.A. Mile, Pooh:

“Piglet noticed that even though he had a very small heart, it could hold a rather large amount of gratitude.”

Your contribution, no matter how small, will bring this grand event to life, nurture the growth of hidden artists and help race our home stretch.
