    This fundraiser will benefit

    underprivileged

    from New Delhi, Delhi

Hello, I am Aditee Swaroop, a student volunteer working with Humari Pehchan NGO. I have organised this fundraiser in order to help underprivileged women and girls to spend their period with proper hygiene and comfort. Menstruation in India has always been a neglected topic involving myths and taboos resulting in a lack of awareness. Also, poor financial conditions, lack of resources, and considering menstruating girls as filthy have contributed majorly to this situation. Thus, there is a grave need of raising awareness regarding menstrual hygiene and breaking the taboo so that women can be provided with proper education which will help them to live comfortably and hygienically.

I have always wondered about the situation of those impoverished women who don’t have access to sanitary pads or don’t even have any knowledge about them. It must be so tough for them going through all that. I really want to help them and educate them about this so that I can make their lives much better. Wishing for the day when everyone women in India has access to sanitary pad!

The fundraiser will help in providing free sanitary pads, education related to proper hygiene to all the underprivileged women in order to make them aware about their natural process and not treat it like a taboo as suggested by the“society”.
SUKHAD' is the name of the project. We will help the underprivileged women spend their periods comfortably with proper means and information under this initiative.
Providing sanitary pads, educating them on proper menstrual hygiene, and raising awareness that 'periods' and discussing them is not a taboo topic, but rather a normal method.
As quoted by the CEO of UN, “Giving is just not about making a donation, it’s about making a difference”. Please contribute and share
