I am Adil baby of St. Columbus school and I'm in class 12th. My topic is covid relief and vaccination aid. I took this topic since my mom is a nurse and she worked in the covid ward at lok nayak hospital. She had to leave home and live with other nurses who worked in the covid ward for a month. That was the most stressful time of my life so I want to educate people about this subject since the pandemic is affecting our lives. Most of the people in the beginning were fed the rumors about the pandemic and it got us into so many problems. What is covid 19 or coronavirus is a large family of viruses that causes illness ranging from common cold to more severe. A new strain novel coronavirus which has never been identified has been found. Coronavirus was first discovered in Wuhan, China . The original source of viral transmission to humans is unknown; it's said there was a spillover event from where it originated.  Common symptoms of this virus are fever, dry cough and tiredness. Lungs are the organ which is most affected by the virus . to prevent covid always wear a mask and be socially distanced. Avoid touching surfaces, especially in public settings or health facilities, in case people are infected with covid 19. Frequently clean your hands with soap and water ro an alcohol-based handrub.
Masks are a measure to suppress transmission of coronavirus but the mask alone is not sufficient. Covid 19 are spreaded mostly in crowded places, close-contact settings and confined or enclosed places. I helped my friends to get covid vaccines since my mom is a nurse it's much easier to get the vaccine. When i asked my friends about the covid vaccines they were denying it to get it since it didn't completely made you resistible to coronavirus but later they were convinced when i educated them about the vaccines and how covid can spread through vaccines but it reduces the chances of having and especially it secures you from hospitalization.
The vaccines are not the complete cure for coronavirus since there are new variants being found. I want to educate the people and especially the younger kids since they have a less chance of getting covid but that doesn't mean they are completely secure from covid. Everyone has to follow the covid protocols no matter the age.  There has been 3 crore cases in India and 4 lakh people have died. 73 crore people have been vaccinated and slowly everything is getting healed. There have been pandemics throughout the decades and we humans don't consider it as risky which makes the situation very messy and leads to deaths.
