Hello,
My name is Aadi Verma, I am a student of K.R.Mangalam World School G.K.2. I study in class IX and spare few hours from my routine to assist the underprivileged people residing at Bhawar Singh Camp in Vasant Vihar with their basic necessities. The latest threat to global health is the ongoing outbreak of the respiratory disease that was given the name Coronavirus Disease 2019 ( Covid - 19 ). It causes severe acute respiratory syndrome ( SARS ). This outbreak has posed critical challenges for the public health, research and medical communities.
These past days were traumatic. The whole country was in a total lockdown because of the second wave of this deadly virus. This is a the time for reflection, for recognising that regardless of what we can or can't do in such dire times, the one thing we can do is learn to be empathetic. One thing that has emerged clear and sharp in Indian society during the lockdown period, it is the trait of human meanness and ultra lack of sensitivity. This year has seen people striving hard for arranging the basic essentials for their family members and the near ones to save them from this deadly virus. The life support, the oxygen gas was nota available, we have seen acute shortage of lifesaving medicines and no availability of the hospital beds. In these difficult times few were arranging help for others and few being greedy kept overstocked the essentials for them. This is the time where we all should come together for the single cause of helping others ti deal with this deadly virus.
