Why am I fundraising?

My name is Usha K and I am fund raising on behalf of the women of the rural to build a bathroom and to provide water connection.

Scarcity of such a basic necessity as water makes women have bath in the open in this village. This is not a sign of a developed nation where women have to wash clothes, utensil and have a bath in dirty canal water with pigs and other animals alongside.

Even today water is a scarcity and not so easy affair. Ladies have to go through a plight of having a bath in the open in broad day light gives me sleep less nights.

The picture would tell you the story which I don’t need to tell.

We need to raise an approx amount of $ 7000.00 to $10,000.00 to acquire a small piece of land may be on lease and to get drinking water connection up to that room and build about 10 bath rooms with clothes washing facility so the women of the village can do their jobs peacefully without being haunted by desperate men of the villages who feast their eyes.

What do I plan to do with the funds?

I plan to lease a small place of approx 1000 odd sq ft and build 8-10 bathrooms providing decent facilities so that women can do their jobs in private without haveing to worry about any one around. Also providing with wasy access to water.
