    Kriya Sangh Society

    from Hyderabad, Telangana

What is the need?

We have identified around 1800 families in the Rasoolpura slum and the nearby areas (GHMC - 20 Areas, SCB - 10 areas, JNMC - 10 areas) that are in need of a dry ration kit to survive for 30 days. With this, we have identified 3000 individuals - slum dwellers, daily wage migrants and homeless; who are in need of regular cooked food - lunch and dinner for at least the next 30 days.

What are we doing?

Kriya Sangh Society along with the Aikaarth foundation is working towards fulfilling the requirements of these humans. We have turned a community space into a community kitchen and have cooks from the community who are volunteering to prepare the food and more volunteers from the slum for packaging and distribution. We have got the required permission from the concerned authorities to cook and distribute food.

About Rasoopura and us :

Kriya Sangh Society and Aikaarth Foundation work for the development of Indiranagar (Rasoolpura) which is one of the largest slums in India and Hyderabad with a population of approximately 1.3 lakhs people. Rasoolpura is associated with poor development indicators and civic amenities. We are working towards fully empowering the community in terms of access to entitlements in the areas of health, education, and livelihoods.

All that we want to say you is...

There is definitely a long long way for us to go and many many things to be done to create a world where there is no single human who doesn’t have access to the most basic requirements for decently living, and it is not every day that we come across opportunities to be a major part in the creation of that world. However, this is the opportunity to contribute to that world by helping it get through these crises by taking care of those who are the most vulnerable by whatever small and big contributions we can make. We look forward to you utilizing this opportunity and believe you’ll do it. Donate to this campaign and share the campaign widely.
