My appeal to Indian youth is to contribute Re.1 for every 1 kilometer I walk.
I will be walking 100 kms for 10 days in Antarctica battling -40 / -50 degrees , 200 miles/hr wind speed carrying Indian flag surviving only on clean energy ( solar, wind and bio fuels) to reach South Pole.
Only 10 countries are provided an opportunity in this historic expedition and I am proud that India got an invite and I got an opportunity to represent our nation.
This historic expedition is going to change the perspective world is having towards clean energy. I am ready to hit century by walking 100 kms betting my life on clean energy. I request you to hit century with the rupee in your pocket.

I am Sunil kumar, 27 year old CA and CMA from Hyderabad. I got invited for the World's first South Pole last degree expedition surviving completely on renewable power (solar, wind & Bio fuels) for which NASA is one of the technology partners.
I am proud to represent India to make India member of the 10 privileged countries in the world to take part in World’s first pole expedition surviving solely on Clean energy (solar, wind and bio fuels). India will be torch bearer to the entire world in Clean energy. This expedition is going to change the perspective of the world towards renewable power. This is aimed at sensitizing people towards Clean energy.
Only 10 people who are trusted to champion the cause of spreading the awareness about renewable power are invited from different parts of the world.
The motto of the expedition is to prove to the entire world “If renewable power works in the world’s harshest place ‘Antarctica’, it will work anywhere."
I will be skewing around 100 kms for 10 days carrying India flag in temperatures of around -40 to -50 degrees with weight of around 80 kgs tied to my waist. This will happen in January 2018 for a period of 20 days.
This is led by Sir Robert Swan, first person on the planet to walk to both North Pole and South Pole.
I was working with Amazon as Site Financial controller for Amazons’ world’s biggest CS site. I have quit my job at Amazon for working on fund raising campaign for this expedition as I felt it is my responsibility to give my 100% for the cause of sustainability through my participation in this historic expedition.

I need to raise INR 92 lakhs for the same. My intention is to start spreading the awareness about sustainability right with my fund raising campaign. So I am requesting all Indians to contribute just Re.1 for 1 kilometre I walk in my journey to South Pole. That is Rs.100 per person. Through this I would like to involve as many Indians as possible so that the message reaches the people.
Internet media sensation from India “The Viral fever “(TVF) agreed to endorse my campaign. Hitech group of schools also agreed to support my campaign.
I have already been to Antarctica in 2015 as a part of International Antarctic expedition and you can see the pictures and other video files of the same in my face book page @suniltosouthpole.

The same idea was accepted by Amazon World wide team for internal review. If they accept this idea , it will be a gigantic step towards bringing sensitivity towards Mother nature etc
I am fully confident that this upcoming Green expedition will equip me with experiences and inspiration to change the perspective of Young people towards clean energies.
I will be happy if you walk instead of ride (with byke/car) for distances below 1 kilometer even if you don't contribute to this historic campaign financially. The whole motto is to make an attempt to change the way clean energy is perceived.
