    This fundraiser will benefit

    Ana Raissa

    from Bengaluru, Karnataka

Ana Raissa Da Costa is 29 years old and has been suffering from multiple serious medical complications since the last four months. She has been in and out of the hospital till 1st June 2018 but since then has been completely hospitalized to undergo multiple surgeries to correct holes in the trachea and esophagus. Doctors are very pleased with her fighter spirit but are hoping to find a long term solution for her condition.

From the start of this year till today (19th July 2018), her medical bills are touching INR 25 lakhs. Her immediate family and friends have borrowed money to clear about 50% of the expenses thus far. Family is in immediate need of raising more funds to clear the balance 50% of the payment. In addition, they also need funds to sustain the treatment for the coming weeks.

All funds donated will directly go to Ana's account and will only be used for medical treatment and rehabilitation.

Please refer below the technical note from the doctor handling Ana's case.

This is to state that Ms.Ana Raisa Da Costa, 29 years old female, bearing UHlD No-AHB.0000806648, IP No-AHBIP6303O was admitted under my care on 12/06/2018. She underwent Thoracoscopic decortication for empyema right lung on 05/06/2018. Thereafter she required a surgery for perforation of the esophagus. Adhesions at the trachea resulted in a tracheal defect needing stenting of the trachea.

A colonic conduit stent was also needed to facilitate healing locally. Presently she is being treated for infections in the lung and mediastinum with antibiotics. She is being replenished nutritionally by a feeding jejunostomy.

She requires further treatment for nutritional build up, infection control and local healing of the tracheal and colonic conduit and may require reparative surgery for the same at a later date, if local healing is delayed or if infection worsens.
