My name is Ramchandra Shamsundar Gawade, working in Sodexo since 13 years. Our company has taken various initiatives towards social cause supporting various organizations and I have been a team member for the same. We contribute a sum of amount from our salary towards the same.
Krishanaveni’s life had been alternating between pain and hope for more than 65 years, before she and her ailing husband Ganpathy, found a permanent home in helpage Tamaraikulam elders village at Cuddalore.
Krishnaaveni had a troubled childhood as both her parents died before she reached the age of 11. She had to discontinue her studies due to financial problems. An early marriage and the death of her two childern compounded the problem of her. And life gave her no respite as she and her husband were deceived by their relatives and rendered homeless.
With increasing age and week eyesight due to cataract, earning a livelihood became a daily struggle. Thats when the couple came to the helpage elders village. At the village she found a new life and emotonla support.
Some of the elderly in these old age homes are terminally ill patients and find it difficult to do their daily chores. They are provided palliative care to reduce pain and live their last days with dignity.
You could also come forward and support a grandparent with your generous support. More and more destitute elderly, out in the streets, require medical and emotional support. Be the ray of hope in the twilight of their lifes journey.
