Hello,
I am Kavitha from Chennai, India. My sister's (Jothi) son - Ratan Nimiish is just 7 months old who is suffering from a very rare disease SCID - Severe Combined Immuno Defeciency by birth. He doesnt have immunity by birth where any small viral/bacterial/fungal infections would become a fatal disease for him. Right now he has got TB and his lungs got infected. This can also spread to other body parts. Bone Marrow Transplant is the only treatment for this disease which would cost around 25 - 30 lacs (Operation + post operation treatment costs). Both the parents family are middle class families and couldnt afford the operation cost.
The whole family is emotionally down. His survival is the only hope for both the families and their future.
He is currently discharged from PIMS, Pondicherry and we are taking him to Aster CMI Hospital, Bangalore for proceeding with his operation.
Appreciate any financial assistance to continue his treatment.
