Situation Analysis for Primary Health Center:
Health problems are widespread in most of the slum dwellers residing in India. Also, local distribution of the facilities like dispensaries, Mohalla clinics and mobile dispensaries shows that compared to the approved colonies, the poor settlements in these slums are not adequately provided with health facilities.

Due to the high cost of treatment and non-availability of public medical services and the COVID pandemic, the slum dwellers suffer and continue to suffer from many diseases like tuberculosis, fevers, coughs, colds, measles, stomach disorders, diarrhoea, malaria and typhoid etc.

The medical facilities also appear to be quite inadequate in these colonies, more so on account of the high susceptibility of the people to a variety of diseases, often on account of poor hygiene and the inability of the people to afford proper medication. Therefore, the situation is further aggravated. Also, the nearest Government hospitals in slum areas of India are not nearby and not easily accessible.

Why Project Global Cure Primary Health Centres?
To take care of the healthcare needs of the underprivileged population in the slums of India, we have taken up a Community Health Initiative by establishing PGC Primary Health Centers.

The project's objective is to provide much-needed healthcare services to the underprivileged communities in the proposed urban slums through PGC Primary Health Centers. These PGC Primary Health Centers will mainly focus on women, children and the elderly, covering people suffering from Non Communicable diseases.

Through its Primary Health Centers, Project Global Cure will take healthcare to the doorsteps of the urban poor and provide free promotive, preventive and curative health services. These Primary Health Centers will be staffed with a qualified doctor, nurse, community mobilizer and project coordinator.

The centre is committed to providing free-of-cost medical consultation and diagnosis, besides medicines and referral lab testing facilities. In addition to these, community awareness sessions are being conducted on Non-communicable diseases, mental health issues, and other general ailments.

During these sessions, topics like family planning, proper dietary habits, nutrition, hygiene and sanitation will be discussed to inculcate health-seeking behaviour among the people.
