Akash Kumar Singh,this 2 year child is suffering from congenital pancytopenia syndrome, in simple words his bone marrow is defective and unable to produce adequate amount of blood cells, this causes immunodeficiency, anemia, and increased bleeding tendency., i.e this child gets frequent infections and requires frequent hospitalisations.(phone numbers of parents are given in the end of the story)
Even a simple cold and fever puts this child in risk of life threatening  pneumonia, and simple diarrhea puts this child at risk of life threatening severe dehydration and shock, as his body's defensive mechanisms are poor in fighting infections.
He also has to deal with anemia(low hemoglobin), and thrombocytopenia(low platelets- child has increased tendency to bleed following trivial trauma).
The only treatment available now for his condition is bone marrow transplantation(hematopoietic stem cell transplantation), the doctors in CMC-vellore found that the mother of the child is compatible, that is she can donate her bone marrow stem cells to her child..but this procedure costs around 25 lakhs and the parents are genuinely in need of help..
