We are a team of two cofounders, Karishma Kotwal, who is a crime correspondent at Times of India, Indore. And myself, Ankita Chadha, an author and blogger from Indore.

Pilgrimage is a pay per hour coread cowork venture that brings together readers, coworkers, students and people from all the communities and sections of the society. We provide amenities like free books of all genres, hi-speed wifi, projectors and light food. Our regular entrepreneur events, literary talks and entertaining sessions will be a value addition to every member of Pilgrimage.

We aim to solve the biggest problem of the generation which involves lack of exposure to books and a quiet place to work/retrospect with a coffee in hand. We want to create a space where our visitors will incubate instead of spending time reading/working at noisy coffee shops.

India has seen a new culture of cafes and pubs but people still have very few recreational spaces - a getaway where they do whatever they love. We do this by charging them just Rs. 50 per hour. And here the catch is that you can also subscribe to us, not essentially by paying us the entire month’s cost, but by purchasing hours in bulk. So one pays only for the time they spend rather than paying the heavy postpaid amount.

We don’t have a certain answer to our right to win. We, however, do know and are certain of one thing - our services. That is one thing on which we will never compromise. Right from our business model to the amenities we are providing, everything is consumer focussed.
Since we benefit largely to the users, they will be bound to attract to us sooner or later.

We want to bring networking on floor. Six months down the line, our idea is to create a Pilgrimage in India in every five to six kms so that people develop to be readers, entrepreneurs and love to have a purpose.

A lot of prior research has already been done on it. The idea has been discussed with Mr. Ruskin Bond, Mr. Ganesh Saili and Mr. Wajid Khan who are up for contributing books and their art to us. We are now looking to raise funds, approximately 40 lacs INR for our venture.
