We at Abhidheya dream about  a poverty free world & a well nourished society. We presume providing well equipped jobs & a fulfilling career to the younger generation, as an important way of reaching our goal.

Through our Project Acariya, we tend to ensure that all the school-going children from classes 10th to 12th, especially from govt schools, lacking in suitable resources & from poor financial backgrounds opt for an appropriate career.

We organise career counselling workshops for them, providing them with in-depth knowledge about various career options & available govt. scholarships. By following this, along with ample amount of hard work, they can transform their lives & support their families too, in breaking the shackles of poverty.

Starting from the very scratch in 2018, till now, we have covered around 40+ schools & targeted approximately 1500+ students in Dehradun & adjacent areas. The career details not only cater to traditional courses like engineering, medical or commerce, but also include contemporary courses which are especially designed to meet the present & future needs of the growing industry.

In 2020, we aim to work more closely with students by providing them with necessary guidance & mentorship all the year around. We will be providing them with study material for their respective entrance exams along with proper coaching. The students would be made exam ready with the help of regular mock tests too. This would enable them to compete with the best & take their careers in the right direction.

WHY CAREER COUNSELLING WORKSHOP?

In today's fast-moving modern world equipped with the internet of things (IOT) and artificial intelligence, there is a wide gap in workforce skills and skills required in the industry. One of the main reasons for this is, lack of information about the available new graduation and diploma courses, and how to get admitted to them, or what vocational fields they will be working in after they take on the said courses.
The major impact of this challenge is felt by students from government schools belonging to rural and hill areas. With no guidance on new generation courses, the students have to take common conventional graduation courses. This results in students facing the challenge of acquiring a decent job and ultimately unemployment.
We aim to bridge this information gap, with a special focus on rural/ hill area government schools, by providing them with the required information. Working with the students as their mentors we help them walk through the difficult phase of decision-making and preparations.
Moreover, in the current situation, pursuing conventional courses with average skills result in lack of employment opportunities amongst students and ultimately getting involved in a cyclone of mental health problems and drug abuse.
We believe, by the workshops, we can mould the next generation into new change makers of the society.

We request you all to support our work monetarily & lend a helping hand to improve the lives of India's most marginalised children.
