I am trying to raise funds for my neighbour (a malayalee family) which mainly consists of the parents and a girl child who is yet to join the 11th standard in school. The family is not a well-to-do family and is going through testing times as the father (60year old) had suffered a brain stroke (blood clots in his brain) for which he had initially undergone treatment in Trivandrum, Kerala with financial assistance from his brother other relatives. This morning he has again suffered a second stroke due to which he has been admitted in the ICU of a local hospital in Nanganallur, South Chennai. For starters, he has been asked to undergo an MRI scan to understand the gravity of the situation. The father was the sole breadwinner in the family and hasn't been able to work for the last 2 months after the first brain stroke. It would be really helpful to the family if people came forward to provide some financial support to them to cope with their medical expenses, child's school fees, food and other incidentals.
