INTRODUCTION: -

• “Women and adolescent girls are using clean menstrual management materials to absorb or collect blood that can be changed in privacy as often as necessary for the duration of the menstruation period, using soap and water for washing the body as required and having access to facilities to dispose of used menstrual management materials" (JMP 2012).
• Worldwide, in any event, 500 million ladies and girls need legitimate admittance to menstrual hygiene facilities. A few elements impact troublesome encounters with a period, including deficient facilities and materials, menstrual pain, fear of disclosure, and lacking information about the menstrual cycle.
• In India, just 1 in every 2 girls knows about the monthly cycle before their first period. In Tanzania and Ethiopia, just 1 in every 4 girls knows about it before their first period.

STRATEGY: -

• Each girl and lady, and their families, including men and young men, should have mindfulness, information, and data so the monthly cycle is perceived and can be overseen securely with certainty and poise.
• Each girl and lady should have simple admittance to adequate, moderate, and clean menstrual absorbents during the feminine cycle.
• Each school girl should go to a separate toilet with private space for cleaning, washing.
• This includes access to satisfactory and supported water supply and cleanser. Each girl should have access to infrastructure for removal of utilized menstrual absorbent and should know how to utilize it.

PROBLEMS: -

• Absence of access to menstrual hygiene items and facilities: Menstruating ladies and girls in India frequently face difficulties in getting to menstrual hygiene items because of a few factors like an absence of organization among girls and young ladies, inaccessibility of hygiene items, poverty, and social norms.
• Absence of empowering climate in rural regions: Even today girls and ladies are socially segregated during their period, their mobility is limited, they are considered sullied, and are not permitted to enter religious places or the kitchen. The unaccommodating social environmental factors put them into a circumstance of uneasiness, agony, and incredible trouble.
• Low pay and destitution surely limit a family's capacity to oversee menstrual hygiene. Cost of hygiene items, washing facilities, and waste management is a costly undertaking.

SOLUTIONS: -

• Crossing over the huge gap between compelling system planning and effective execution of existing policies.
• teaching girls and ladies on utilizing more supportable items, for example, fabric and awareness campaigns on the best and sterile approach on how to utilize them.
• Guaranteeing menstrual hygiene for girls and ladies ought to be one of the significant formative plans which call for urgent and serious action from everyone to change.
