About the campaign

Update: DNA India covers the story of a kashmiri student - Zahid Ahmad Qureshi, who cracked the IIT entrance but is struggling to pay fees. http://www.dnaindia.com/india/report-orphaned-by-militancy-kashmir-youth-who-cracked-iit-struggles-to-pay-fee-2098867 . This campaign is to raise money for students like Zahid and others.

Update: Papa CJ, an incredible and amazing stand up, has spoken to the kids and has assured them of their admission fees. This campaign is intented for their semester fees and other education related expenses. The campaign (if it raises a ton!) will include more such students. Hope that the donors continue supporting such briiliant minds!

Update : Mrs Smriti Irani,  the HRD minister, has said that the "registration fees will be waived and (they) will be eligible for scholarships that cover tuition, mess and other charges " www.economictimes.indiatimes.com/articleshow/47750197.cms

There are more students like Brijesh and Raju who need our support. This effort will reach them in a time bound manner.  This page will be updated with the details of such students in a short while. Do keep supporting us. Do use the comments section of this page to ask any questions or your suggestion.

Most of us dream of going to the best engineering college in the country but we fall short despite having access to money and the best of facilities.

Two brothers, the children of  a Surat based daily wager Dharamaraj have cracked the IIT entrance. Dharamraj is happy and sad. Happy about the achievement but sad that the fees of 1 lakh (just the starters) is  beyond his means.

Let us show Raju (rank 167) and Brijesh (rank 410) that we are behind them. Let's fund their education and help them on their quest to a better life. The funds raised will not only be used for their current requirements but also for fees for future semesters and other educational needs.

This apperared in an article on times of India. The article is available at www.timesofindia.com/india/Sons-in-IIT-top-500-daily-wager-dad-doesnt-have-Rs-1L-for-fees/articleshow/47741850.cms
