Hi. Thank you very much for going through my campaign. I come from a small village Hasanpur, in Agra in India; however I never let become a challenge to my dream and aspirations. I studied in Indian school of mines,Dhanbad and as a student I founded Kartavya (www.kartavya.org), to work for education of children from under-privileged backgrounds. I have seen the struggle my family had to undergo to get me a good education. We have adopted a project to educate 100 children from the slums; we plan to build premises for organizing the classes, and also provide financial assistance to families for books and accessories. In order to take this vision forward I feel the need of connecting with bigger organizations in India and abroad, both for technical and financial assistance. I got this golden opportunity to participate at the Semester at Sea Summer voyage 2014 (http://www.semesteratsea.org/voyages/summer-2014/), a unique program to promote global comparative education. Over a period of 66 days, this program will take me to 10 countries and interact with over 500 students across the world. I am going there to build an international outlook, and connect with those who can provide me valuable guidance. I have also been a part of Indian delegation to prestigious conferences organized by Spe International & Petrotech India. This experience will be a of a different level; for someone from the hinterlands of rural India, I definitely call this an opportunity of a lifetime. A little help of yours could make a lot of difference. If you'd like to tweet, post to Facebook, or email your friends about it, that would be great too! With Gratitude, Bhupendra
