In Pune region (comprising districts of Pune, Satara, Solapur, Sangli and Kolhapur), so far 1.32 lakh people have been effected. In Sangli and Kolhapur, over 53,000 and 51,000 people were evacuated, respectively, followed by 13,000 in Pune district.

People have to evacuate their homes. It is not only NDRF or Indian Army’s responsibility to help them let us also initiate our helping hand to raise some funds and provide them our used clothes and we are also in need of volunteers who could collate the used clothes in their respective area from friends or family. Let us all come together and help Maharashtra. We very well know we all have helped Kerala last year when they suffered the same flood situation. Let us all be a responsible human and help our people too.
