Tax benefits for INR donations will be issued by Insight Walk Education

Hey, there! I'm Saloni and it's my birthday and amid this on-going crisis, I wish to celebrate it more meaningfully by supporting the work of Insight Walk which is really close to my heart and is my hope for the world.
Reasons why I want to support Insight Walk:
1. The work is based on systemic and long term solutions which are led by the community itself.
2. Women from the village itself lead the learning for children of the community in an after school intervention.
3. With focus on life skills education, children have been coming up with the most creative and fantastic ideas to support their community. (Believe me,. it makes me want to go and learn from them)
4. Insight Walk does not take any corporate funding and relies on support from individuals like you and me.

Read more about their work below and find out how they will be using these funds amid the Covid-19 crisis whose impact is much worse in rural communities across our country.
Important update and appeal:
During these unprecedented times, Insight Walk is supporting 400 families of our children who are currently facing a shortage of food and medicines.

As COVID-19 continues to spread, the future has never felt so unpredictable. These are challenging times for us all, and we hope you’re in good spirits and health! ⁣⁣Right now, we’re doing everything possible to support children and their families. Now, more than ever, our community needs us. And we need you.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
👉 We will use this fundraiser amount in two ways: ⁣⁣⁣
1. To support 400  families with immediate food supplies and educational supplies.

2. To create a sustainable solution which is a community-led in-house ration model. With this model, we will work with 50 families who will practice organic farming at our Solidarity Art Farm Museum, and grains cultivated here will be stored to fight against any such crisis in the future.

⁣⁣⁣
⚡⚡Why don't we want to use all the funds for only buying ration supplies? ⁣⁣⁣
👉Simply because buying food supplies doesn't fix problem in the long run. It makes our community dependent rather than inter dependent. Plus these 50 families don't own a farming land, they are all daily wage earners, and agri labourers. Hence a community model of farming will help them meet their daily as well as future needs. ⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
✨✨If you resonate with our approach, here's what we request you to do:⁣⁣⁣
👉share this campaign with people in your network.

Our immediate support includes:
  • Ration kit: Pulses, Vegetables, Grains, Cooking Oil, Salt, Sugar, Soap
  • Notebooks and school supplies for children

“The fact is that given the challenges we face, education doesn't need to be reformed -- it needs to be transformed. The key to this transformation is not to standardize education, but to personalize it, to build achievement on discovering the individual talents of each child, to put students in an environment where they want to learn and where they can naturally discover their true passions.”⁣⁣

    About Insight Walk
Insight Walk Education is a registered non-profit organization based out in rural Kolhapur, Maharashtra. We run an 18-month rural fellowship program for women fellows who work with 40-60 children from the respective village in an after-school intervention program. Our fellows are community women from the same village who go through rigorous training and receive continuous support during their fellowship.

About Solidarity Art Farm Museum Project

What started as a mere organic farming project has now become a museum completely managed by kids from the age group 6-14.⁣

It is a space where children learn journalism, community research, documentation, photography, organic farming, miniature art, innovate from trash, make organic colors from flowers and plants, use paintings, illustrations, block-printing, hand embroidery, poems, storytelling, etc to document their community and much more.⁣
