10 months old Shivansh Sharma has Kryptogenic chronic liver disease. He was born on 28th June 2016. His father Manish, a bank employee and his mother Nidhi, a home maker aged 32 and 29 are trying to save their only child’s life. He was affected by Jaundice in 3 days after his birth. Doctor says, Shivansh really has a chance for survival. General Medicines were given. After 2 months various tests were done. The doctors decided to get a liver biopsy done and it was done on 3rd October at Apollo, Delhi.

A positive Bile duct was expected. He was then taken to Gangaram hospital, Delhi for Genetic analysis. The findings were negative but a liver transplant was needed. He was registered in Apollo Hospitals, Chennai. He has to undergo a life saving liver transplant. His Grandmother has come forward to be the donor and will donate a part of her liver to her grandson to give him a chance at life.

The surgery package costs 22 lakhs. The family was able to raise only 9 lakhs with the help of their relatives and friends. The remaining 13 lakhs is needed to go ahead with the surgery, which will save Shivansh’s life. The condition of the boy is deteriorating, so the doctors are insisting the transplant to be done at the earliest.
