I am Eswar and I am here to raise funds for Liver Transplant that has been recommended to my mother, Gowrishwari.
My mother, Gowrishwari, 52 years old, was diagnosed with Liver Cirrohsis, a condition in which the liver does not function properly due to long term damage. It involves loss of liver cells and irreversible scarring of liver.

Her health condition is rapidly deteriorating despite being on an aggressive medication. We have consulted multiple doctors in Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad, and they have strongly recommended her to undergo Liver Transplant at the earliest, the only option to prolong her life. She is currently undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospitals, Visakhapatnam.
She is registered under Jeevandan Scheme in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, to get a cadaveric organ donor. She has already undergone the pre-transplant assessment tests and got clearances from multi-disciplinary team of doctors. We are waiting to find a suitable cadaver donor. The entire procedure i.e. from finding a cadaver organ, transplantation surgery to recovery is expected to last several months, depending on the patient’s condition and post-operative care.
1. Pre-transplant Assessment: Rs. 1,50,000/-
This involves a detailed assessment conducted by a multi-disciplinary team of doctors, to ensure her fitness to undergo Liver Transplantation surgery.
2. Liver Transplant Surgery: Rs. 27,25,000/-
Based on the availability of cadaveric organ, the transplant surgery would be done in Apollo Hospitals in Visakhapatnam/ Hyderabad/ Chennai/ Bangalore.
3. Post Operation Rehabilitation, Recovery, Follow-ups: Rs.10,00,000/-
An uncomplicated transplant involves stay in the transplantation ICU for 10-12 days. Discussions and consultations with liver transplant patients and their families suggest that post-op complications require extended stays in the hospital and multiple expensive tests even after discharge from the hospital for few months.
We have been spending huge amounts for the past 6 months for her treatment, expensive medication and pre-transplant assessment tests, at multiple hospitals. We have exhausted all our savings for her treatment till now and would need external help to handle this difficult situation.

With the financing of the transplant taken care of, my family will have one less reason to worry and we can focus all our efforts in ensuring the best medical care for her.
