Dear Animal Lovers,
Dhyan Foundation has taken up the massive task of helping our Border Security Force in rehabilitating cows, bulls and calves of all age groups rescued by them at the Indo-Bangladesh border from being illegally transported to slaughter houses across the border.
We are working with 11 battalions in west bengal and tripura.
Dhyan Foundation has built 3 enclosures also near border posts - malda and krishna nagar in West Bengal and kullubari in Tripura 2 more in process

We have shifted 1000+ cattle to gaushala in Kolkata and other places but many more await our help!
  • Every year, Lakhs of cows/bulls are illegally smuggled into Bangladesh where they are turned into shoes, belts and of course, beef as food.As per Indian Govt records following are the details of cattle seized by BSF of Indo-Bangladesh border in past some years :-
             Year          Cattle seized by BSF
             2012             1,20,724

             2015             1,53,602
             2016             1,46,967
             (Upto Oct,16)
Cattle number which pass through the border number is very high, as per  records close to 15 lakhs cattle are illegally smuggled through Indo-Bangla border every year.
  • Cattle are starved for days ,tortured ,beaten while transportation to border for smuggling from other Indian states.
  • Once crossed the border and reached Bangladesh these innocent beings land into slaughter houses for brutal slaughter every day in thousands of number.
  • Rescued cattle by BSF when auctioned mostly being bought by cattle smugglers again for illegal smuggling.
Dhyan Foundation has come forward to take the responsibility to give caring home to rescued cattle by BSF on West Bengal border .Close to 1000 cattle were shifted to Animal shelter in Kolkata,West Bengal and Jharkhand.
The norwester which hit Kolkata and its environs, swept through our Kolkata gaushala and heavily damaged our sheds and fodder stock.
We are in process of rebuilding everything ,WE NEED YOUR HELP !

Dhyan Foundation need monetary and voluntarily help to take care of these voiceless beings and the ones who await our help!
Recently two trucks bought by Dhyan Foundation in Kolkata just to transport cattle rescued by BSF and many more to be rescued in coming days...
Help us in meeting their fodder requirements and rehabilitating many more from meeting a painful end.
Every bit counts!

Dear Supporters,

We from the Dhyan Foundation have been pleased to receive your patronage and support in our goal to helping the Border Security Force (at the Indo-Bangladesh border) in rehabilitating 20000 (twenty thousand) cows, bulls and calves of all age groups which were rescued from being illegally transported to slaughterhouses across the border to Bangladesh from Nov2018 to date.

With the help of BSF and your support, we were able to completely halt the illegal smuggling of cattle across the Bengal border into Bangladesh. While this number was in lacs just one year ago, today this number has come down to a trickle. This would not have been possible without your generous support.

However, the battle is yet not over. Not only feeding 20,000 mouths a big responsibility, but there is also a significant portion of the money that is being spent in the medical care of these rescued souls. When they arrive at our Gaushalas, these animals have already gone through immense physical as well as mental trauma. Mafia injects heavy metals in their bloodstream during the transit to keep them subdued. Providing them with the best medical help is our foremost priority.

Also, since the smuggling has been completely controlled in the Bengal border region, the mafia is looking for other avenues to continue their illegal business. They have turned their attention to Assam, where our volunteers are working 24x7 with the BSF to rescue more animals. Our numbers are daily increasing.

These rescued animals deserve a good home and care, and by donating to us, you are directly helping them recover from all the trauma they have experienced.

The average cost of feed and maintenance of these rescued souls comes to approx. 2100/- per head per month and 25,000 per head per annum.

Monthly expense & daily expense to feed and take care of the rescued babies is close to 12-14 lakhs.
