When I entered my class of 63 bubbly and jumpy 6th graders, I wasn’t aware of the challenges that lay ahead. Notwithstanding the immensely diverse group of students and the chronic inability to sit in their seats, I could almost fathom the herculean task in front of me. Bizarrely, I vividly remember when one of my team fellow asked me, “Why do you love your kids so much when I don’t love them at all?”. It was at this moment I had an external validation to corroborate how apparent was my love for them. I had the answer – I love them because they are mine and I can see what they can be, should they be exposed to a conducive environment.

Hence, we named ourselves Super Explorers to tag the undying spirit of the class to explore and discover. To name the immense curiosity they share for any new topic being talked about in the class. To all the silence and the popping eyes when I start a lesson as – “Boys, Do you know?”. Now, I have decided that like all explorers, we need to go on our own expedition. The Expedition – which enables to them to explore their own pathways and discover their own lands of calling. Find the lands and become the best versions of themselves – transition from explorers to founders! Years later, when they look back, they should reminisce – “Where you come from shouldn’t decide where you go.”
