I am Archana Sharma serving as the Content - Social Media Head at Eneur - The Entrepreneurship Cell, I am pursuing B.com prog. from Kirori Mal College, Delhi University and am in my second year, I hail from Bihar and did my schooling at Delhi Public School. I have been part of three NGOs and a startup for live projects, they all were from different domains varying from NGOs working for disabled people to NGOs working for the upliftment of women hygiene.
The past 1.5 years have been very harsh on each one of us in one way or another. Being indoors and reading all the news flashes of Covid-19 cases, seeing our real superheroes fight for others lives risking their own, seeing countless families losing their loved ones to this bug have been very disheartening to all of us. 4,889,883 people have died so far from the coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak as of October 14, 2021. There are currently 239,962,530 confirmed cases in 221 countries and territories. There’s a famous saying - “A kind gesture can reach a wound that only compassion can heal.” by Steve Maraboli. This is truly said and if I am getting an opportunity to contribute to this catastrophe for the betterment, I would be more than happy, to see a smile on a face just because of my little contribution and this would also make me feel satisfied knowing the fact that I was of some help to the deprived section of the society.
As a part of Hamari Pahchan, I aspire to contribute all that is possible from my end. Through this organisation, I believe we can help in or assist in making the databases on food availability, oxygen cylinders blood donors, beds and other necessities required if caught by this bug. Since the second wave struck we all knew how much all these things matter to the opposite person, unavailability/availability of bed results in risking one’s life. Covid - 19 also affected the people not just physically but also mentality, for this, we can organise webinars or workshops on mental health, on how important it is, since everything is online now. But for the areas where we can land physically and is feasible enough, I would suggest we can organise these workshops in offline mode.
As an individual, I expect others not to show just empathy and sympathy towards the covid - 19 warriers but also show gratitude towards them, others can make donations for this cause and contribute a little towards the betterment of the society. They should also practise all the norms properly as per the government prescribed guidelines so that the cases can abate. People shoould also support and understand mental health of others as this is something which is another severe problem.
