    A Nidhin Sai

    from Hyderabad

Nidhin Sai is just 9 months old, but he has only known suffering since birth. Right after he was born, he was taken to the NICU instead of his mother's longing arms as he had severe jaundice. Now, his condition is worse as his liver is 100% damaged. Little Nidhin is suffering from chronic liver disease and he needs urgent liver transplant to get better.

His liver is failing and only a transplant can save him

After three days of ICU stay, Nidhin Sai got better and his relieved parents Bala Babu and Nagamanika took him to their tiny home in Dharmavaram, Andhra Pradesh. But 15 days later, the yellow tint in his eyes came back again. He was given medicines to get better but he didn't. Nidhin’s condition was slowly worsening and three months later his stomach started swelling up. Worried parents were left with no choice, but to take him to Hyderabad for better consultation and he was diagnosed with a severe liver disease.

‘Nidhin has been in and out of the hospital, sometimes for weeks at a time. He has stopped taking his feeds and not even a day goes by where we don’t see our son crying in pain.’, says Nagamanika as she tries to console her wailing son. Even the medicines are now not helping Nidhin to get better. Little Nidhin bleeds from his mouth and even passes blood in his stools. He has only one chance for survival and that is through an immediate liver transplant. Though it was a good news for the parents to know that Nagamanika is the suitable donor for their son’s transplant but lack of funds is making them lose hope.

His parents are struggling to arrange money for the transplant

“I have used all my savings and even took help from my relatives to save my son. The money I’ve borrowed was enough only for his medicines and tests. Now, I have not a single rupee left to afford the transplant that costs Rs 18 lakhs” - Bala Babu, father.
Bala Babu works as an assistant in a private company earning a decent income Rs 15000 per month which was enough for him to look after his family, before his son's diagnosis. He has spent Rs 6 lakhs so far and now is in no position to afford a life-saving transplant to save his only son.

He can live a better life only with your help

Little Nidhin is just 9-months-old and he’s going through something that might be nightmare even for an adult. Everyday that he goes without a transplant will only worsen his condition. His parents are in desperate need of help to save their son.
