Siri Chandana, a 2 y/o extremely bright and ever-so-active child is born with a hearing deficit impairing her hearing and speaking abilities. Her recent test report from the visit to CMC, Vellore & Madras ENT Institue suggests that she needs an Auditory Brain Stem Implantation.
This being a rare form of ENT disorder, the doctors have suggested getting a surgery done from the best doctors. Although the possibility of her recovering to a normal state cannot be estimated, we, her family do not want to leave any stone unturned in gifting our child the normal life she deserves. For someone from a lower-middle-class family, the estimated cost of 35,000 USD or Rs.25,00,000/- (25lakhs) is impossible to bear, so we have come to you.

Who is Siri? What happened to her?
Youngest in the family, Siri is the star child and is one of the most active babies you will find. She is intelligent, chirpy and so full of life. At this age, when most children are learning and observing, Siri being the smart girl she is, takes ownership of things. She has already started helping her mother in the kitchen. She washes the vessels and offers flowers and prayers to God. She is a keen observer and keeps herself entertained all the time. Children usually don't like to be in a crowd for a long time but Siri, on the other hand, gels well with people of any age, dances to glory and finds happiness wherever she goes. We can go on and on and on about her but the more we appreciate this beautiful addition to our family, the more dismay dawns on us. We cannot bear to see our little girl suffer. We wish she gets to live a normal life.
Our family turned upside down when we discovered that our little Angel is born deaf. After the initial shock, we decided to do whatever it takes to fight against this hardship. Our friends and family have been of utmost help so far and with their aid, we have been able to consult doctors at CMC, Vellore as well as in Chennai and Bengaluru. We want to see Siri grow up to utilize her capabilities to the fullest and we want to provide her the best education. And hence, we need financial assistance for her treatment.
