Why am I fundraising?

I am trying to raise funds for Purkal Youth development Society. Purkal is a 15 year old school which is located in the Himalayan footfills of Dehradun. Purkal currently provides education to about 300 underprivileged kids. They offer more than a mere learning platform. They take end to end responsibility of the students alcademic, nutritional and medical needs.  They bagged the India NGO Award in 2011. 

They are currently looking at purchasing a piece of land for the constuction of a hostel which would help in providing residential facility to 200 more underprivileged children. Your contribution will help Purkal in the purchase of the land and in meeting the cost of construction.

What do I plan to do with the funds?

This fund will help Purkal purchase a piece of land worth Rs. 35,00,000 in Purkal village, Dehradun. Purkal plans to expand the existing facility to accomodate 200 more students by construction of a new hostel on this piece of land.  Of the total cost of land acquisition and construction, I am trying to help them raise Rs. 15,00,000.
