    Learning Curve Life Skills Foundation

    from Hyderabad, Telangana

The purpose of Learning Curve Life Skills Foundation is to ensure that each child is properly equipped with the competencies to be emotionally balanced, self-aware, resilient against life's challenges and able to make informed choices

A significant percentage of young children in India lack basic emotional, communication and cognitive skills, which can influence their self-esteem, collaboration with peers and creativity.

Additionally, schools and teachers often lack the skills and infrastructure necessary to support a child’s emotional and social well-being.

Our “Ready for the World” program is based on a deep understanding of the developmental, psychological and behavioral needs of children. We implement several platforms, including storytelling, games, art and role play, to ensure that the right learning outcomes are delivered to our young audience. A significant proportion of this work is led by our volunteer change-makers.

To ensure that our change-makers parallel the impact that the core members of our Foundation have, their training and empowerment is of the utmost importance.

In this year, we intend to impact at least 1200 marginalized children in various communities.

As of May 2016, we have enrolled 20 change-makers into the program, and they are undergoing a rigorous learning program to enable them to create this impact.

Empowering a change-maker with this ability to influence the children requires training, deployment in the centers and structured program management to ensure the quality of impact.

This translates to a meager Rs. 1500 per year per child.

Rest assured, your good deed in helping us ensure at least 1 child in our country has the necessary skills to improve his/her life and that of her family—plus the society at large—will definitely be rewarded.

If you can, contribute. If you can't, spread the word. Either way, do something.
