Say hi to Riya, eight-month old girl from Chandigarh. She was born with a rare heart condition called Viral Myocarditis with Dilated Cardiomyopathy, to no fault of hers or her loving parents. She has already spent some time in the hospitals. Her heart is still too small to undergo a transplant as per the doctors. So until that time she has to survive on medications on a regular basis. Riya often struggles from acute fever accompanied with chills, cough, rapid breathing, decreased oral intake. In between she again had community acquired pneumonia owing to the cardio myopathy.  Her loving father, Sonu is not losing hope and wants to do all that he can to save her life. This appeal is on Sonu’s behalf who works as a driver earning Rs.7000 per month and resides in Chandigarh. He has borrowed money for the initial hospitalization costs of Rs.50000 but he needs a regular flow of money for the monthly medical costs so that Riya survives till she can get a heart transplant.

Her father is raising enough money to be able to buy Riya the necessary medications to give her a chance to survive and get an operation later. We are asking you to support Riya through her day to day struggle by donating through cheque or online transfer.
