Help Champa Mondal fund urgent toilet and building repairs

About the campaign

Champa Mondal's efforts to build toilet for her family

Champa is 30 years old and lives in a village called Parnoihati in Basirhat. She is married and blessed with two school aged children (a son and a daughter). Champa is engaged with animal husbandry and her husband is a farmer by occupation.
Champa is always concerned about her family members, and frankly she is worried about the risk of healthy problems at present due to a malfunctioning toilet and damaged toilet room. Presently the toilet Champa and her family are using is damaged and needs immediate repairing. It does not have any solid roof; a plastic sheet is used as a roof at present. In monsoon season, they face leak problems and water drips into their toilet. As well as that, they need to repair their hand pump in the toilet. But Champa does not have sufficient savings to pay for this.

So, she has applied for a sanitation loan of Rs. 30,000 from BJS (Milaap’s partner) to repair her toilet and roof. The loan will be repaid within 12 months. Your loan will help provide this young family with a dry and functioning toilet, thereby improving their household sanitation.
