About the campaign

Helplife - is a NGO working towards underprivileged and differently abled girls and women. Helplife - a public charitable trust was officially registered with the government of India on 2nd June, 1999. The mission statement is “Helplife endeavours to enrich the lives of the underprivileged community through precise research, focused intervention, professionalism, and innovative rehabilitation programs in diverse areas focusing on physical and emotional well being.”

Helplife is currently working actively for physically challenged girls through their innovative internship programme with the express purpose of mainstreaming them into society by empowering them to become professionals and independent members of society. This programme addresses physical, mental and social rehabilitation of the interns that have come from impoverished backgrounds with no educational or financial support.

Helplife also has a community based Empowerment and Livelihood program for differently abled adolescent girls and women in order to support education or livelihood.
Helplife has started a new project in collaboration with Gits it’s called “Providing Cleaner Environmentally Friendly Option – A Happier Menses” .The project aims to provide livelihood to underprivileged women through being employed at a low cost sanitary pad making machine set up in a sustainable manner.

We are currently supporting 19 girls for their accommodation, education, travel, medical and mess/grocery expenses. These girls come from rural underprivileged background. When they enter Helplife, they have a lot of vitamin and mineral deficiencies and also low haemoglobin count. We first focus on their health and nutritional needs in order for them to build their physical capacity/stamina for them to become independent citizens in society. These girls are residing in 3 different flats around NIBM Road.
