Soubhagyamma was at her wits end.  Her two children repeatedly suffered from epileptic fits.   She sells lime on a pavement in Bangalore and supports herself and her two children with what she earns.  Her husband is no more. She did not know what to do until a good samaritan enquired with her and learnt more from here.

Her children had been suffering almost from their birth.  She was persuaded to come to a neurophysician and an EEG scan was done.  One child's condition can be controlled by medication but the other requires surgery.  

People with epilepsy have seizures -- unexpected electrical "storms" in the brain. Epilepsy is not a lifestyle disease like Cardio or perhaps even diabetes nor does it spread from one person to another.  These seizures, also known as fits have a severe impact in their lives, creating obstacles to lead a normal life, education and employment leading to isolation.

Most people who have this condition do not know when the next episode will manifest.  We have come together, gathered to try and raise funds through crowdfunding.  We have also identified another four children who require surgery at the earliest.  All of them come from the underpriviliged lot of society.

We are a nation of 1.252 billion but IT IS ONLY A FRACTION who needs this help.  

Out target is 12 Lakhs at the initial stage to begin with. It is our humble intention to spread awareness and make a small beginning to help those people who remain marginalized.We have connected with three leading Research professionals and we have identified a select number of children who suffer from epilepsy.  As said earlier, they are from the marginalized sections of society and with no means of furthering their cause.

The Funds will go on start a treatment regimen which will cure them and help them in the long run.
