We started the DESIRE Society, in Bengaluru, Karantaka State, in the year 2008, and presently located in J P Nagar, 8th Phase, as a non-profit voluntary organization with a goal of caring for HIV/AIDS children in India. The Organization is functioning with an objective of health development and well being of children living with HIV/AIDS through Institutional Care Homes (ICH) in various locations in India.

DONATION FOR SUPPORTING OF CHILD NUTRITION AND HEALTH CARE 

Miss Shalini, who had lost her parents, was brought to our to DESIRE Society, in Bengaluru, by her aunt and uncle, when she was just about 6 years old.  As Shalini was suffering with HIV+, she was very weak and under-weight. She was also suffering from stomach ache and indigestion problems etc.  At present, she is under ART (Anti-Retro Therapy) medications.

Today, Shalini is 7 years old and going to school.  She is studying in 1st Std.  in a Kannada medium Govt. School. She is showing good interests in her studies and playing and enjoying with other children. 

Shalini has improved in her health status with the help of timely nutrition like Poushtik+ Powder, Iron Syrup, Calcium Syrup, B complex Syrup.  She is happy and active in her daily life with all care given at DESIRE Society. Our generous contributions helped Shalini get a second opportunity to live in a loving family.  We pray to God that Shalini gets a good and a long life with all happiness and joy.  We at DESIRE Society are committed to provide her our best, to save this girl and giving her a hope of future with a quality and dignity.

We provide sufficient and approved Nutrition & Medicines (Poustick+ Nutrition Powder, Dixorin Syrup, Calcium Syrup etc.) to the children affected by HIV/AIDS. 

We are extending such care and assistance to 30+ children in our Home Care in Bangalore and, for 70 Children in Mandya. The costs  of Nutrition & Medicines for these 100 children, comes to Rs.7,20,000/- Per Year,  (@ Rs.600/- per month per child).
