Dear Supporters,

One of the tanks taken up for de-siltation, as part of 'Dyavasa Punarujjivana', the rejuvenation of the Dyavasa  river stream project is now complete and waiting for rains to fill it up. It involved over 15 days of work using JCB excavator and 2000 loads of silt had to be transported. With the help of funds raised from donors, payment to JCB owners and Tipper owners used for transportation of silt is still being made.Attached are some of the payment vouchers used for payment for reference.

We are waiting for the rains now to see the results. There are more tanks to take up and more check dams to be built as part of the overall project which will progress as and when the funds are received from the donors and other local sources.

Dear Supporters,

Here's a quick update:

One of the Tanks at the upstream of 'Dyavas River' was taken up for de-siltation in the current phase, at an estimated cost of Rs.4 lacs  for which  the contributions made by the donors is added. This particular tank had 5ft dept of silt which had to be dug and transported out. About 15 days of Hitachi work has gone in and about 2000 loads of silt has been transported. Now we can see the traces of water in the tank already.

See the picture [before] and Video [after]  to understand the progress.
As the finishing work is yet to be done, vendors need to be paid, and other tanks to be taken up for de-siltation, request the donors to share the message to other like-minded people in their contacts through Facebook and WhatsApp with these proof of work in progress.............

Thank You

Dear Supporters,

Here's a quick update:

Attaching a video of the work in progress at the site. Month of May is the worst hit in the region as drinking water wells dry up and people have to wait for supplies by the local Panchayat through pipeline or tankers.

Rejuvenating the tanks will help improve the groundwater table and thereby drinking water situation.

Thank You
