Dyavasa Punarujjivana - Dyavasa river rejuvenation program is an on going program that may need over 5 years as the work along the river can be done during summer months only when the tanks and rivers dry up.As part of the program this year, maintenance of one of the tanks de-silted last year by creating walking path and reinforcement of tankbund was taken up. Also, another new tank at the upstream location which is also a primary source of dyavasa river called 'Kilageri kere' was started.Attached photos are about the maintenance work of last year's tank and the starting of the new tank this year as a general update to donors on the progress without whose generous donation this would not have been possible.

Dear Supporters,

Thank you for your recent contribution to the de-siltation of one of the tanks as part of 'Dyavasa Punarujjivana' river rejuvenation program.
Just after a few showers of rain, water has started collecting in the recently de-silted tank and the results are encouraging. We are very sure that it will help recharge the ground in the area and contribute to the flow of the stream as it is one of the upstream tanks.
Please take a look at the photos before that you have seen already and now after initial rains.

Your contribution has made a difference.

We had started this campaign for 'crowdfunding' for the cause of 'Dyavasa Punarujjivana' river rejuvenation program that consists of de-silting of about 15 tanks one by one and creating check dams and re-charge wells along the river.
One of the projects was to take up de-silting of an upstream tank with which this campaign started. After successful de-siltation with help from donors, local people, a local foundation, etc., after the initial few drops of rain itself, the results are encouraging. Water has seen accumulating in the tank already. We would like to extend the campaign as there are many more tanks to go and the initial results are very positive. Your contribution is making a difference already and any help from any source is most welcome.

Please donate and request others.
